Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. What This Site Is

This website is operated by AfriSwiss, through Ghana-Swiss Youth Bridge, its first program, to share information about our programs, history, and the culture connecting Ghana and Switzerland, and to let visitors get in touch, sign up for updates, and learn about or apply for our programs.

3. Using This Site

You agree to use this site lawfully, and not to:

— submit false or misleading information through our forms, particularly the "Reconnecting with Ghana" questionnaire;

— attempt to access areas of the site or systems you're not authorized to use, including the admin panel;

— use the site to harass, defraud, or harm others, or to distribute malware.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

The text, images, and design on this site belong to AfriSwiss, or are used with permission or under an open license and credited where used — see, for example, the sourced historical images on our History page. You may share and reference our content with attribution; you may not republish it as your own or use it commercially without asking us first.

5. Accuracy of Content

We work hard to source and fact-check the historical, cultural, and program information on this site — our History and Reparations Decade pages, for example, cite the sources we drew from. Even so, we can't guarantee that everything on this site is complete, current, or error-free, and it shouldn't be treated as legal, immigration, or financial advice — for example, on Ghanaian citizenship or passport matters raised in our questionnaire.

6. Third-Party Links

This site links to third-party organizations — for example, the Embassy of Ghana, and various institutions referenced on our program pages. We're not responsible for the content or practices of external sites we link to.

7. No Warranty

This site is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, AfriSwiss is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of both Switzerland and Ghana, reflecting AfriSwiss's registration and operations in both countries. If a dispute arises, we'll first try to resolve it directly with you — please contact us (below) before taking any other steps.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
